Pim Samsom is a Dutch pianist/bassist and music composer. His original music compositions can be best described as contemporary jazz. During Pim's study at Leiden University, he founded his Pim Samsom Kwintet, a band that has existed for over 10 years, until Pim after his graduation left to the United Kingdom to work there for many years. In 2002 Pim returned to the Netherlands. Since its founding in 2008, Pim plays in his wife's band Anita Samsom Combo.
